How Impact First Responders Works

Impact First Responders is a three-tiered program developed by the First Responder Resiliency Program out of Fort Worth, TX.

Education

The Impact First Responders program provides extensive department wide training on how to mitigate stress and  increase support through peer-to-peer interactions. Education helps break the mental health stigma.

Peer-to-Peer Support

Once training is complete, participating departments will have a team of peers available to provide resources. The peer program provides the education, resources, and framework necessary for a sustainable support program.

Counseling

Off-the-grid counseling services are available at no cost to all first responders in the program. No diagnosis is needed. First responders will receive a call back within 24 hours of contact.

Your Support Helps Your Local First Responders

Just like every second counts responding to a call, every dollar counts in providing the services our First Responders need.

$60 A month will provide free counseling for a first responder.

Every day our first responders wake up and take on the dangers and difficulties that come with their job. Facing those challenges day in and day out can take its toll. Impact First Responders can help our local public servants stay mentally strong at the end of each day.

In 2023…

  • 56 First Responders utilized 218 free counseling sessions

  • 11 Critical incidents debriefed
